Trim a video

Cut a clip from any video with a scrubbing preview; no upload.

Runs on your device — never uploaded

How to trim a video

  1. Add a video

Drop an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file.

  2. Set in and out points

Scrub the preview and mark where the clip starts and ends.

  3. Export

Fast mode copies the streams without re-encoding; precise mode re-encodes for exact cuts.

Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded?
No. FFmpeg runs as WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Nothing leaves your device.
Why does the tool take a moment to start?
The FFmpeg engine (~30 MB) downloads once on first use and is then cached on your device for instant starts later.
What is the difference between fast and precise?
Fast cuts on keyframes without re-encoding, so it finishes in seconds but may be off by up to a second. Precise re-encodes the clip for frame-exact cuts.
