Frequently asked questions
Is the text really removed?
Yes. Affected pages are rasterised, which destroys the underlying text layer beneath the black boxes.
Why redact locally?
Because uploading a document to redact it defeats the purpose.
Does it also remove metadata?
Yes, author, title and other metadata are stripped as part of redaction.
